Based in Medellin, Colombia, VivaColombia is the first true low-cost carrier in the country that is partly owned by the founders of Ryanair, the largest European low-cost airline, with Irelandia Aviation as its parent company. José María Córdova International Airport and Eldorado International Airport are its operating bases with Rafael Núñez International Airport as its focus city.
VivaColombia is in alliance with Viva Air Peru. As of August 2016, they have a fleet size of 11 Airbus A320-200 serving 23 routes within Colombia and having 4 international destinations to Panama, Quito, Lima, and Miami. Mr. Juan Emilio Posada serves the Chairman and CEO of VivaColombia.

“In a nutshell, if you’re a budget traveler or you want to go somewhere for a few days – then this is the best airline for you.” This was written by a foreigner living in Colombia who had used VivaColombia around 15 times, saying that you shouldn’t expect luxury with low-cost carrier VivaColombia: the flights were short and there weren’t food and drinks and luggage unless you pay. Despite this, he found his flight to be acceptable.

The experience on ground is not very well, the staff is not very friendly. The best of this airline is the price of the ticket.
